WSU ACADA Letter from the President
I am proud to represent you as WSU ACADA’s president for the next two years. I have inherited a strong and stable organization with many opportunities to offer its members and the WSU community. Each year WSU ACADA sponsors workshops, brown bags, trainings, roundtables and a symposium in conjunction with our neighbors at University of Idaho.
Our Advisor Certification Program is now functioning with three levels of certification and training. The WSU ACADA website delineates each level of professional development available to us on our campuses.
A recent addition to WSU ACADA is our Mentoring program. If you’re interested in having an advising mentor, or becoming a mentor to others, this is the place to start.
Each year since its inception, our Awards Committee has sought outstanding advisors to nominate for recognition at the local, regional and national level. We have had remarkable success in identifying stellar advising across our campuses.
I encourage you to join the academic advising network of professionals at WSU. Our online calendar lists many opportunities for you to participate in professional development throughout the year.
I look forward to working with you.
Sarah Ann Hones
President, WSU ACADA
