Fifty-Five Students, Faculty, and Staff Honored at WSU University College Awards Ceremony April 16


PULLMAN, Wash.-The accomplishments of 55 students, faculty, and staff members at Washington State University were celebrated at the sixth annual awards ceremony hosted by the University College on Tuesday April 16, 2013 in the Lewis Alumni Centre.

In addition to 25 awards presented by the University College, four were made by the faculty Emeritus Society, five by the Honors College at WSU, and ten by WSU Academic Advising Association (ACADA).

"The University College at WSU cherishes this opportunity to recognize the outstanding academic achievements of undergraduates," says Mary F. Wack, vice provost for undergraduate education and dean of the University College. "We are also pleased to honor our faculty and staff members who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to make a difference in the college careers of our students."

Four awards were presented for the first time. They include: The Richard H. Haswell Distinguished Graduate Fellowship in the WSU Writing Program Assessment Office, WSU ACADA’s Master Advisor Commendation (two awards were distributed), PHASE Certificate of Appreciation, and The Richard G. Law Excellence Award for Undergraduate Teaching.
